Clever idea, but not suitable for constant use.

A clever idea, useful if you have to fit leads to closely fitted SMA sockets. I bought them for use with the Malahit DSP2 radio. They work ok, but I am worried that eventually they will damage the thread on the SMA sockets on the radio because the grip ridges on them are necessarily a tight fit to push over the socket threads. Time will tell.

Useful for hard-to-reach connections

These convert RP-SMA connectors into push-fit connectors. They're not pull-the-sleeve-to-release connectors like SMB, rather they just grip onto the thread tightly enough to stay put, but not so tightly that they can't be pulled back off.

They may be useful on equipment which regularly needs connection and disconnection, where the barrel of an SMA connector is too fiddly to reach and unscrew, or where the cable is easy to forget to unscrew and easy to damage if you do forget to unscrew it.

They're less useful on antennae which expect to be tightly screwed into the device they're for, such as the ones fitted straight to the back of a broadband router. As they don't lock tight, an antenna will just fall over if used with one of these adapters.

SMA Coax Adapter SMA Quick Plug

I was unaware this type of adapter existed but the idea of a quick plug SMA connector would seem to make life a lot easier. My first concern was the electrical robustness but on testing I could find little insertion loss incurred.

One small concern is the wear that may be introduced to the thread on the connected device. The adapter simply 'push fits' to the next connector by gripping the thread, and it does this quite well, but taking the pieces apart requires a slight 'turn and tug' which may cause some wear to the thread over time.

Time will tell over the durability of this connector but on the face of it it is a well made item and very easy and convenient to use.
